|
Several reasons why our young bull sales
have been successful.
 |
-
They are all on a grow ration, not
a fat ration!
-
We keep them sound and not
over fat ready to breed cows.
-
We hand feed them daily so
they are gentle.
-
We do not use hot shots or
abuse our bulls
-
These bulls go through our home
grown tests and if they aren't good enough for us they aren't good enough
for you.
-
What you see if what you get!
-
Muscle and structurally sound bulls!
We keep only the best!
-
All bulls are guaranteed breeders!
|
-
Breeders like buying
young bulls so that they can grow them out to their expectations and
acclimate them to their environment and region. Bulls
that are home grown will usually stay home!
-
Our customers also
know we don't keep bad bulls until they are two years old.
-
Some of the best bulls
are picked off the cow. That is when you can see them evolve into
their rolls as either a feeder steer or bull prospect. Young
bulls are fairly easy to pick because of their masculinity at Thorne
Ranch.
-
Why should you use a
Cross bred bull? Because they work on several different breeds and
will compliment most straight bred cow herds. The first
cross is the best!
-
Our
repeat bull buyers
are our best source of advertising!
-
Great calf
crops and happy customers is our number one goal.
-
"We cull at weaning! We don't keep
bad bulls!
-
If they aren't good enough to breed
our cows, they aren't good enough to breed your cows either!"
-
All calves are
weighed and tagged at birth so we know what these cattle weigh at birth.
-
We
keep good records! A must if you want to maintain a breed improvement program!
-
We also believe
that shape is more important than weight in some instances... a long narrow
calf can weigh more but calve easier than a short thick stocky calf that
weighs less....
-
Only the best...are saved for
breeding bulls at the Thorne Ranch.

Comments from one of our recent
customers.
Hello Thorne Ranch,
I have visited at least 10 other cattle ranches in the USA and Mexico and I
must say you guys are the best. I am not buying no more bulls that are not
from Thorne cattle. I have a cousin that is in the cattle business for a long
time. He breeds Red Angus, Black Brangus, Beefmaster and Braunvieh. When he
saw Admiral and Domino he called me and said he wanted semen from them. So I
am not the only one that thinks you have the best cattle out there. Thank you
again. Luis Castillo
